Appointments for mammograms available at Parkview Bryan Hospital Saturday mornings.

To increase access to breast cancer screenings during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Parkview In October, appointments for mammograms are available at Bryan Hospital on Saturday mornings.  By appointment only, they will take place on Saturdays, October 3, 10, 17, 24, and 31 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Parkview Physicians Group office at 442 W. High St., Bryan. Call 419-636-4517, option 4, to schedule an appointment.  Women over 40 are especially urged to have a mammogram if they haven’t had one in the previous year.  Women between the ages of 40 and 44 have the choice to begin screening with a mammogram annually, according to American Cancer Society screening guidelines for women at average risk of breast cancer. Every year, women between the ages of 45 and 54 should have a mammogram. Mammograms can be continued annually or switched to every other year for women 55 and older.
