During the John Paulding Summer Blast celebrations on Saturday afternoon, the first of two markers for the Paulding Downtown Historic District was unveiled. At the intersection of Caroline Street, the north side of the district boundaries, and Williams Street, there is a marker greeting visitors to the district. Melinda Krick, a member of the group that started the initiative, stated that the second monument will be located at Water Street on East Perry Street.
