Law that suspends Ohio’s gas tax for ninety days signed by Governor Mike DeWine Thursday.

A law that suspends Ohio’s gas tax for ninety days was signed by Governor Mike DeWine on Thursday.  The bill was approved by Ohio lawmakers on Wednesday night. It was approved by both the Senate and the House of Representatives with backing from both parties.  The state tax of 47 cents per gallon for diesel and 38.5 cents per gallon for ordinary gas will be temporarily suspended under the measure. The average driver might save slightly over $80 over the 90-day tax holiday, according to leaders.   According to the AAA Motor Club, the average price of regular gasoline was $4.43 per gallon on Wednesday, up around 50% since the start of the war with Iran.
