According to a recent study from Ohio State University’s medical department, many youngsters are suffering injuries in auto accidents as a result of not being properly restrained. According to Gretchen Baker, P.H.D., principal author and research assistant professor at the department of health and rehabilitation sciences, “many families are still not using car seats, booster seats, and seat belts appropriately.” According to a recent study, almost half of youngsters hurt in auto accidents were either not strapped at all or were not adequately restrained. According to the study, children ages 1 to 13 who misuse car seats and seat belts are more likely to suffer serious injuries or die.
