Oakwood homecoming celebration this weekend.

This coming weekend’s Oakwood Annual Homecoming will feature a number of events.  Homecoming this year is scheduled for Saturday through Monday. Since it started a few years ago, the annual event has always taken place during Labor Day weekend.  This year’s homecoming will feature fireworks Sunday night as a special celebration of “America 250.” There will be free cake available during the festivities.  Over the weekend, a number of additional events will take place at different locations within the town.  Everyone is welcome to begin their day bright and early on Saturday from 7 a.m. until 11 p.m. at the yearly fire department breakfast.
