During a meeting on Wednesday, Ohio lawmakers decided to temporarily suspend the state’s fuel tax. The bill was approved by the Ohio House and Senate, and it now needs to be approved and signed by Governor Mike DeWine. The state diesel tax, which is 47 cents per gallon, and the state gasoline tax, which is 38.5 cents per gallon, are both suspended for ninety days. If the governor adopts the measure, the suspensions would take effect right away.
