Patrol Investigates Fatal Crash in Lucas County.

The Toledo Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol handled a fatal crash on September 28, 2026, at approximately 12:40 p.m. The crash happened on U.S. 20 in Richfield Township, Lucas County.
A 2022 GMC Sierra, driven by Sidney Lark, age 74 of Northwood, Ohio, was eastbound on U.S. 20. A 2023 Buick Envision, driven by James Kenczewicz, age 69 of Swanton, Ohio, was westbound on U.S. 20. Lark drove left of center striking Kenczewicz who then went into a field on the north side of U.S. 20.
Kenczewicz was pronounced deceased on scene. A passenger from Kenczewicz’ vehicle and Lark were transported by ground ambulance to Toledo Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. Safety belts were in use at the time of the crash and impairment does not appear to be a factor. U.S. 20 was closed in both directions for 3 hours.
The crash remains under investigation.
