School bus accident Monday morning in Hicksville.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Defiance Post is looking into a school bus accident that happened on Monday morning on East High Street, close to Columbus Street in Hicksville, which resulted in minor injuries.  58 year old Brian L. Zeedyk, of Hicksville, was driving a district school bus. A 16-year-old pedestrian heading northeast was trying to cross the road when Zeedyk was traveling southwest on East High Street. The person was hit when they moved in front of the school bus. The pedestrian’s minor injuries were treated on the spot. The school bus driver reported no injuries.   A safety belt was discovered to be in use at the time of the collision, and there is no suspicion of alcohol or drug impairment.
