State Wildlife Officer assigned to Defiance County deals with people snatching fish on Auglaize River.

Austin Dickinson, a State Wildlife Officer assigned to Defiance County, got a Turn In a Poacher complaint about several people snatching fish on the Auglaize River beneath the Power Dam.  When Dickinson arrived, he saw two people snagging and holding onto channel catfish. Dickinson contacted the fishermen and discovered that their fishing licenses were invalid. The catfish were confiscated as proof. Numerous summonses were sent for both unlicensed fishing and snagging and retaining sport fish.   They both paid a total of $300 in penalties and court expenses after being found guilty.
