Updates on solar projects in Paulding County reported.

A recent meeting of the county commissioners covered updates on solar projects in Paulding County.  Standard Fintech, LLC provided an update on solar projects at the Maumee Valley Planning Organization complex and the Paulding County Jail. By the end of the month, it is anticipated that both systems will be finished and functional.  After construction is finished, Paulding County would have Ohio’s first solar-powered jail. The solar field “comes at no capital expense to the county” and is being constructed on a brownfield site.    In the coming weeks, the perimeter fencing for both solar installations will be finished. At the MVPO building, all electrical work is finished. Workers at the jail are waiting on AEP to arrange for the transformer to be disconnected and reconnected.
