Woman detained on suspicion of using car to kill a man over two years ago.

A woman has been detained on suspicion of using her car to kill a Maumee man over two years ago.  42 year old Sonia Rodriguez is accused of aggravated vehicular homicide after being taken into custody on Tuesday. Before being freed on her own recognizance, she had an appearance in Oregon Municipal Court.  According to an Oregon police report, 77 year old Alan Nelson, of Maumee, was struck by a 2023 black Kia Rio driven by Rodriguez while crossing South Coy Road on March 7, 2024, when he was walking east on the State Route 2 sidewalk.
