15 year old Central Local High School student under investigation

A Central Local High School student has been suspended and remains under criminal investigation after posting a threat on the internet. The message was posted from one juvenile to another on April 8, Defiance County Sheriff Douglas Engel said Friday morning. Engel stated the content was of an alleged general threat towards the school. He added currently, the investigation has shown that no weapons have been on the school property,” he said. A 15-year-old suspect has been removed from the school and findings from the investigation will be turned over to the Defiance County Prosecutor’s Office for possible criminal charges. Engel pledged to “release more information on the complaint at the conclusion of the investigation.”
