15th annual Green Carpet event at NSCC.

The Northwest State Community College Foundation recently hosted its 15th annual Green Carpet Event and raised more than $70,000 for student scholarships. A highlight of the evening was the presentation of the 2024 Making a Difference Awards, which were created by the NSCC Foundation as a way to recognize and celebrate individuals, businesses and organizations in the six-county area committed to improving their communities. According to the Bryan Times, this year’s recipients were Symphony of Trees, Napoleon, organization award; Ed Kidston, Pioneer, individual award; and Daavlin, Bryan, business award.
