State Patrol investigating single vehicle crash that caused long term road closure.

The Bowling Green Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a crash involving a Waste Management truck and Spectrum Internet overhead cables. The crash occurred on Friday, October 10th at approximately 3:27p.m., at the intersection of State Route 795 and Oregon Road, in Perrysburg Township, Wood County.
The preliminary investigation revealed a 2020 Waste Management truck, driven by 40 year old Reginald Green, of Toledo, was traveling eastbound on State Route 795 with the rear receptacle inadvertently in the upright position. The vehicle struck the overhead fiber optic cables owned by Spectrum Internet, causing them to cover the east and westbound lanes of State Route 795.
As a result of the crash, State Route 795 was closed for several hours. Spectrum Internet and the Ohio Department of Transportation assisted on the scene.
