Veda K. Thacker, age 70, of Bryan, Ohio, died at 6:44 A.M. on Saturday, December 19, 2015, at Community Health Professionals Inpatient Hospice near Defiance, Ohio, after a brief illness. Mrs. Thacker was a graduate of Camden-Frontier High School and had worked at Mohawk Tool in Montpelier, Ohio, until the plant closed, then for Leiner in West Unity, Ohio, until it closed and retired due to disability from Allied Moulded Products in Bryan. She was a former member of Bryan Eagles Aerie #2233. Veda enjoyed working puzzles, her computer, shopping and especially being with her grandchildren.
Veda K. Thacker was born on January 9, 1945, in Hillsdale County, Michigan, the daughter of Ray and Cora (Johnson) Fenton. She married Albert Thacker on August 1, 1980, and he preceded her in death on December 13, 2009.
Survivors include her children, Kerry (and Kelly Lee) Fenton, of Bryan, Cora Judkins, of Bryan and Donald (Teresa) Underwood, of West Unity; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by one granddaughter, four brothers and three sisters.
In keeping with Veda’s wishes, services will be private. Interment will take place in Brown Cemetery, near Bryan.
