Drug death case delayed due to delayed toxicology report

Toxicology reports haven’t come back yet and that’s causing a delay for the man accused of involuntary manslaughter, 26-year-old Andrew Marin of Payne. His pretrial hearing has now been rescheduled for a fourth time, while they wait for the results. Martin pleaded not guilty in September to involuntary manslaughter, two counts of corrupting another with drugs, and illegal manufacturing of drugs.
The charges against Martin stem from the Aug. 15 death of Payne resident 50 year old Cary Parsons, who was found dead in his kitchen by his girlfriend. According to authorities, Martin is accused of providing a controlled substance that he manufactured to Parsons, which contributed to Parsons’ death.
Another pretrial hearing was set for 11 a.m. Jan. 28. Bond in the case is set at $250,000 with no 10 percent cash allowance.
