Central Local needs bond issue to improve school facilities

In Central Local schools, there’s no air conditioning. No sinks in the middle school classrooms, so teachers have to carry buckets of water to the classroom for projects. Other issues include the building is not ADA compliant, and classroom radiators are “falling apart.” Those are some of the reasons the district is asking for a 2.13-mill bond issue and .25 percent income tax to help pay for a $25 million dollar building project. Voters will decide March 15th.
