Marie Pierce, age 73, of Bryan, Ohio, died at 1:25 P.M. on Tuesday, April 5, 2016, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana, where she was a patient after a brief illness. Mrs. Pierce was a 1960 graduate of Hamilton, Indiana, High School. A devoted wife and mother, she was an avid golfer and bowler and also enjoyed crocheting and gardening. She was a member of Suburban Golf Course, Bryan Eagles, Aerie #2233 and the Hamilton Church of Christ.
Marie Pierce was born on September 28, 1942, in Deskins, Virginia, the daughter of Irvin Edward and Onie (Price) Black. She married Lee Pierce on October 15, 1960, in Angola, Indiana, and he survives.
Survivors also include her two sisters, Glenna Aldrich, of Hamilton, Indiana, and JoAnn (Gary) Kitchen, of Ashland, Kentucky; a sister-in-law, Patricia McKnight, also of Hamilton; and numerous nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Gregory Pierce, in 2010; and two brothers, Bill McKnight and Lee Black.
In keeping with Marie’s wishes, there will be no visitation or services.
Memorials are requested to a charity of the donor’s choice.
