Wanda H. Fitzenrider, 90

Wanda H. Fitzenrider, 90 years, of Bryan, passed away early Thursday, June 2, 2016 at Community Health Professionals Inpatient Hospice Center, Defiance. Wanda was born March 6, 1926 in Defiance, the daughter of the late Charles Orr and Lida (McClure) Lloyd. She was a 1943 graduate of Stryker High School, where she was her class Valedictorian. Wanda married Clinton Fitzenrider on December 15, 1946 in Bryan at Oak Grove United Methodist Church, and he preceded her in death on October 25, 2002. Wanda worked for the ARO Corp as a Billing Clerk. She also assisted her husband Clinton, working the family farm in Pioneer. Wanda was a member of the former Clay United Methodist Church, and after the church closed, she became a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, Bryan. Wanda was active at both the church’s she attended, teaching Sunday School, and being a part of the Friendship Circle Ministry. She was also a member of the Farm Bureau. Wanda had a variety of interest, some of those include tending to her flower garden, reading, spending quality time with her family and her deep faith and relationship with Jesus.

Surviving is her grandson, Ryan Cogswell of Bryan; one niece, Shirley (Dan) Person of Camden, Michigan and two nephews, Larry (Sue) Lloyd of Edon and Robert (Mary) Lloyd of Bryan. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Clinton, one daughter, Jill Gallant; one sister, Thelma Harris and one brother, Charles Lloyd Jr. as well as two infant brothers.

Visitation for Wanda H. Fitzenrider will be held on Monday, June 6, 2016 beginning at 10:00 a.m. in the Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, Lynn Street Chapel, 206 North Lynn Street, Bryan. Funeral services for Wanda will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, June 6, 2016 in the funeral home with Rev. Jeffrey Motter officiating. Interment will follow in Floral Grove Cemetery, Pioneer.

Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial donations be given to Wesley United Methodist Church, St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Hillside Country Living Patient Activity Fund.
