Rollover crash victim charged for stealing car he crashed

In Steuben County yesterday, a roll over crash now has the victim facing multiple charges. According to Sheriff’s Deputies, they were dispatched to South Old 27 for a stolen vehicle call about 5 a.m. Then a rollover crash was reported and the vehicle was the one stolen.
The driver is identified as 26-year-old Jordan Elkins who was transported to Cameron Hospital for treatment of his injuries. Deputies report he had drug paraphernalia in his possession. After his release, Elkins was taken to the Steuben County Jail on charges of Auto Theft, Operating While Intoxicated, and Possession of Paraphernalia.
