Virginia Mae Pinette, 81 years, of Alvordton passed away Monday, September 19, 2016 in her home. Virginia was born June 30, 1935 in Alvordton, Ohio, the daughter of the late, Frank Morris and Dorothy Margaret (Haas) Ostheimer. She married Gerald B. Pinette on April 28, 1973 in Alvordton, and he preceded her in death on June 4, 2006. Virginia was a loving wife and mother who cared for her family and her home. She also previously worked at Colonial Manor, Holiday Inn and at Fayette Tubular. Virginia enjoyed making crafts, going shopping and to travel. She also cherished the time she spent with her family.
Surviving are her three children, Brenda (Dave) Borton of Alvordton, Ted Price of West Unity, and James (Cheryl) Price of Defiance; two stepsons, Shawn (Janet) Pinette of Georgia, and Scott (Tanya) Pinette of Maine; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Donnie (Sheila) Beals of Fayette and Roy (Liz) Beals of Fayette. He was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald, and two brothers, William Beals and Jack Ostheimer.
Graveside Funeral Services will be held Friday, September 23, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in Pleasant View Union Cemetery, Fayette, with Pastor Dewey VanArsdalen officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, West Unity, Ohio.
