FATAL CRASH VICTIM NAMED

The name of the vic­tim of a fatal crash last week has been released.

The State High­way Patrol said Sun­day that 27 year old Cody Dou­glass of Pio­neer died in a crash Wednes­day on U.S. 20 just east of the Indi­ana state line.

Dou­glass was pro­nounced dead at the scene, but police did not release his iden­tity until after an autopsy was com­pleted.

Police report that the Williams County Coro­ner con­firmed that Dou­glass most likely died from blunt force trauma and burns. The Ohio State High­way Patrol at Defi­ance also reports that speed and alco­hol were involved.
