David J. Trachl, age 74, of Bryan, Ohio, died on Thursday, October 27, 2016, at Community Health & Wellness Center- Bryan, where he had been a patient. Mr. Trachl was a veteran of the US Army and US Navy. He had been a truck driver and worked at AirMate in Bryan. He favorite hangout was Four Seasons Restaurant in Bryan.
David was born on October 17, 1942, in Akron, Ohio, the son of Wilmer and Dorothy Mae (Roberts) Smith. He married Mary L. Bobash on June 8, 1972, and she preceded him in death on July 8, 2015.
Mr. Trachl is survived by two sons, Daniel Trachl, of Evans, Georgia, and Joseph Smith, of Bryan, Ohio; a daughter, Dena (Max) Campos, of Georgetown, Bahamas; five grandchildren, Ian and Anna Trachl, both of Evans, Georgia, Mercedes Henry, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Kenneth and Anthony Campos, both of Georgetown, Bahamas; two sisters, Judith Kikitz, of Parma and Sondra (Bill) Seevers, of Crescent Springs, Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Mary.
Services for David J. Trachl will be held on Tuesday, November 1, 2016, at 2:00 P.M. at the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan. Burial will follow at Fountain Grove Cemetery, Bryan where graveside military rites will be provided by Bryan VFW Post 2489. Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 P.M., prior to the service.
