Gertrude M. Studer, age 109, of Edgerton, Ohio, died at 3:50 A.M. on Wednesday, February 1, 2017, at Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers in Bryan, Ohio, where she was a patient, after a brief illness. Mrs. Studer was a lifelong resident of Edgerton. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Edgerton, the Rosary Altar Society, the C L of C, Northwest Electric Co-op, where she had never missed a meeting from its inception, and the Neighborhood Club.
Gertrude M. Studer was born on May 3, 1907, near Edgerton, the daughter of Gottlieb and Sadie (Favourite) Kimpel. She married Raymond John Studer on November 29, 1927, in Edgerton and he preceded her in death on February 28, 1975.
Survivors include three sons, John F. Studer, of Coldwater, Michigan, R. George (LaVon) Studer, of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, and Clair (Linda) Studer, of Edgerton; two daughters, Carol Buss, of Auburn, Indiana, and Margaret Claxton, of Edgerton; a daughter-in-law, Sarah Studer, of Stryker, Ohio; nineteen grandchildren; eighty-three great-grandchildren; thirty-nine great-great-grandchildren; and fourteen great-great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Alfred Studer, a daughter-in-law, Mary Studer; two sons-in-law, James Buss and Robert Claxton; two grandchildren; three brothers, Gerald, Elvin and J.J. Kimpel; and one sister, Evelyn Skiles.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 6, 2017, from 4:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 114 East Hull Street, Edgerton. Recitation of the rosary will be at 8:00 P.M. on Monday. Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday, February 7, 2017, with Reverend Frederick Duschl officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Edgerton.
Memorials are requested to St. Mary Catholic Church in the form of Masses in Gertrude’s name.
