Joshua P.F. Pettit, age 38, of Edgerton, Ohio, died on Sunday, February 5, 2017, from injuries suffered in an automobile accident in Defiance County, Ohio. He was a 1997 graduate of Edgerton High School, where he was a star baseball pitcher and had thrown several no-hit ball games. He was currently employed as a group leader at MATSU in Edgerton. Josh enjoyed hunting, riding his motorcycle and being with his family.
Joshua P.F. Pettit was born on October 1, 1978, in Bryan, Ohio, the son of Greg A. and Vicki L. (Klein) Pettit. He married Cecilia “C.C.” Lopez on December 20, 2013, in Bryan, Ohio, and she survives.
Survivors also include two daughters, McKayla Taylor Pettit and Kira Lynn Pettit, both of West Unity, Ohio; one son, Isaac Angel Muniz, of Edgerton; his parents, Greg and Vicki Pettit, of Bryan; three brothers, Jason (Desiree) Pettit and Jacob (Heather) Pettit, both of West Unity, and Joseph (Sara) Pettit, of Bryan; and a step-grandmother, Nancy Pettit, of Bryan. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Kenneth Pettit and Rose Pettit.
A gathering of friends and family will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2017, from 1:00-5:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton. A time of sharing and celebrating Josh’s life will follow at 5:00 P.M. in the funeral home.
Interment will be private.
Memorials are requested to the family to benefit his children.
