Linda L. Walker, 76 years, of Bryan, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 16, 2017 in her home with her family by her bedside. Linda was born February 19, 1941, the daughter of the late Harry E. and Beatrice (Schlosser) Hoffman. Linda married Frederick M. Walker on August 30, 1958 in Bryan and he preceded her in death on February 15, 2014. Linda was a homemaker, caring for the needs of her family. She enjoyed spending time with her family, collecting angels, listening to music and of course, her pets.
Surviving are her five children, Kathy Harbin of Bryan, Vickie (Dave) Birkhold of Montpelier, Deb (Mark) Oliphant of Bryan, Todd (Tina) Walker of Bryan, and Bobbie (Monte) Howell of Montpelier; 13 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren; two siblings, Denver Hoffman of Gaston, South Carolina and Barbara Schindler of Napoleon. She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Scott F. Walker, four brothers and one sister.
Visitation for Linda L. Walker will be held Monday, March 20, 2017 from noon – 2:00 p.m. in the Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home – Lynn Street Chapel, 206 North Lynn Street, Bryan where funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. Monday in the funeral home with Pastor Don Harris officiating. Private interment will follow in Yackee Cemetery, Bryan.
