Joanne Funk, 78

Joanne Funk, 78 years, of Bryan, passed away Monday, September 25, 2017 at Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers, Bryan. Joanne was born June 9, 1939 in Chicago Heights, Illinois, the daughter of the late Frank and Lillian (Zazzetti) Kozuch. She was a graduate of Wyandotte High School, Wyandotte, Michigan. Joanne worked for Campbell Soup in Napoleon for 42 years as a machine operator, retiring in 2007. Raised in the Catholic faith, Joanne always looked to serve others, caring for her mother and helping care for her sisters also. She was a member of the Bryan Eagles Aerie 2233.

Preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Frank Kozuch Jr.; three sisters, Janet R. “Rosey” Mattingly, Mary L. Towne and Georgie Kozuch. Surviving are two nieces, Brenda Lucas and Cheryl Pelland, both of Bryan; two nephews, Lloyd (Debra) Towne and Clint Towne, both of Bryan. She is also survived by several great nieces and nephews as well as several great-great nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Joanne Funk will be held from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Saturday, September 30, 2017 in the Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, Lynn Street Chapel, 206 North Lynn Street, Bryan. There will be no public services and interment will be private.

Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial donations be given to the charity of the donor’s choice.
