Steve M. Hancock, 60

Steve M. Hancock, age 60, of Stryker, Ohio, passed away at 11:09 A.M. on Tuesday, October 17, 2017, shortly after admittance to Paulding County Hospital in Paulding, Ohio, after suffering an apparent heart attack while at work. Steve was a 1975 graduate of Stryker High School and had been employed as a heavy equipment operator with MAAJAC (formerly Brust) Pipeline since 1984. He was a devoted “papa” and enjoyed helping his kids with whatever they needed and attending car shows.

Steve M. Hancock was born on December 23, 1956, in Bryan, Ohio, the son of Harvey and Donna (Close) Hancock. He married Teresa R. Mavis on August 27, 1977, in Edgerton, Ohio, and she survives.

Surviving in addition to his wife are his children, Amee (Brooks) Meyer, of Stryker, Shane (Caroline) Hancock, of Archbold, Ohio, and Mishell (Chase) Flory, of Stryker; four grandchildren, Abbie and Xavior Meyer and Emmaline and Stella Hancock; his mother, Donna Hancock, of Stryker; two brothers, David (Nancy) Hancock and Joe (Bev) Hancock, both of Stryker; one sister, Sandy (Kent) Stratton, of Stryker; and a sister-in-law, Barb Hancock, of Bryan. He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Bill Hancock.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2017, from 4:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 114 East Hull Street, Edgerton. Services will be held in the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton, on Sunday, October 22, 2017, at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Matt Brown officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Edgerton.

Memorials are requested to the American Cancer Society or the Kidney Foundation.
