Robert K. Davis Speece, age 78 of Wauseon, passed away on Saturday, December 9, 2017, after a long battle with heart and lung disease. He was born in Bluffton, IN on April 16, 1939, the son of Robert and Wanda (Ulmer) Davis.
Bob served his country in the United States Marine Corp from April 19, 1956 to September 23, 1966 as a Radio Telegraph Operator. After his enlistment, he was self-employed in the sewing business, where he made draperies, boat canvases and did upholstering. An ardent do-it-yourselfer, he was extremely creative and talented; the one everyone called because they swore he knew everything. Bob was a loving husband, father, and grandpa. In addition to his Marine Corp pride, he had a huge love for animals, enjoyed cooking, and loved talk radio.
Surviving are his wife, Marty (Stone) Davis; his daughters Bobbi Davis Compton, Kristine Liner, and Kathi (Johnny) Flores; his son Nicholas (Trish) Trimble; his sister Sharon Osborn; 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Antoinette Speece.
Visitation will be held at the Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home, 219 S. Fulton St., Wauseon, OH on Friday, December 15, 2017 from 1:00 PM until the time of the Memorial Service at 3:00 PM, with military honors.
