Elmer J. Hahn, 86

Elmer J. Hahn, age 86, of Edgerton, Ohio, died at 10:46 P.M. on Monday, January 15, 2018, at Park View Nursing Center in Edgerton, where he was a resident. Mr. Hahn was employed as a millwright for GM Powertrain in Defiance, Ohio, retiring with twenty-four years of service, and also farmed the family farm. He was a member of Emanuel United Methodist Church near Edgerton.

Elmer J. Hahn was born on July 17, 1931, in Adrian, Michigan, the son of Elmer Franklin and Lesta (Neiswender) Hahn. He married Mary E. March on July 8, 1953, in Highland Township, near Defiance, Ohio, and she survives.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Julie (Audy) Coy, of McBain, Michigan, and Karen Hahn, of Edgerton; two grandchildren, Andy (Shana) Hahn, of Westerville, Ohio, and Erin Coy, of Lacey, Washington; two great-grandchildren, Mason Andrew Hahn and Landon Cole Hahn; and one brother, Nelson Hahn, of Defiance. He was preceded in death by one son, Steven Hahn, in 1993; three sisters, Mary Lloyd, Avynell Lloyd and Vera Breckler; and one brother, George Hahn.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2018, from 2:00-4:00 P.M. in Emanuel United Methodist Church, 4763 Kramer Road, near Edgerton. A memorial service will follow at 4:00 P.M. in the church with Pastor Tom Ketzler officiating.

Memorials are requested to Emanuel United Methodist Church or Park View Nursing Center Activities Fund.
