Thomas L. “Tom” Harrington, age 67, of Bryan, Ohio, went peacefully to heaven at 7:28 A.M. on Friday, February 16, 2018, surrounded by his children at Community Health Professionals Inpatient Hospice near Defiance, Ohio. Tom worked at Spangler Candy Company for 32 years, retiring from the Shipping and Receiving Department. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and the Bryan Eagles Aerie 2233, where for many years he played Santa at Christmas time. He also enjoyed gardening.
Thomas L. Harrington was born on August 30, 1950, in Bryan, Ohio, the son of Clancy K. and Betty J.(Rider) Harrington. Tom is survived by his son, William (Claudia) Harrington, of Peru, Kansas; daughters, Marilyn (Bobby) Coker and Mary Harrington, both of Bryan; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother, Lyle Harrington; and sisters, Barbara Sanders and Sherie Pike. He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Mikael Harrington.
Visitation for Tom Harrington will be on Tuesday, February 20, 2018, from 3:00-5:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home at 860 West Mulberry Street in Bryan, Ohio. A memorial service will be held immediately following the visitation, at 5:00 P.M., with Father David Tscherne officiating.
