Larry R. Hasselschwert, age 69, of Hamilton, Indiana and Brooksville, Florida, passed away on Thursday, March 15, 2018, in Brooksville. Mr. Hasselschwert was a controller at Dana Corporation for 35 years and retired from Autoform in Angola. Larry was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Edon, Ohio. He enjoyed playing euchre at the Angola Senior Center, poker, and scroll saw woodworking. He was also a former member of the Angola Magic Squares and Fort Wayne Model A club.
Larry R. Hasselschwert was born on September 25, 1948, in Defiance, Ohio, the son of Florian and Mildred (Mack) Hasselschwert. His survivors include his wife, Brenda Ann (Herr) Hasselschwert, of Hamilton; daughters, Tara Hasselschwert and Cary (Jeff) Fortner, both of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Noah, Marin, Zlatinka and Kyrie Fortner, and one sister, Linda (Jim) Miller, of Defiance. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Norman and Jack Hasselschwert.
Visitation for Larry will be held on Monday, April 2, 2018 from 10:00 A.M.-12 P.M. EST in St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 201 North Church Street, Edon, Ohio. Funeral services will begin at 12:00 P.M. with Pastor Roger Marlow officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society or St Peter’s Lutheran Church.
