Anthony Neal Blalock, age 73, of Edgerton, Ohio, died at 9:25 P.M. on Tuesday, May 1, 2018, at Park View Nursing Center in Edgerton after an extended illness. Mr. Blalock was a 1963 graduate of Hicksville High School and was a veteran of the United States Army. Following his time in the service, he attended the University of Nevada Las Vegas, where he received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in computer science and math. He became a professor at UNLV, where he taught for a number years, and later taught at Olivet College in Michigan. He returned to UNLV, where he finished his teaching career.
Anthony Neal Blalock was born on January 1, 1945, in Hicksville, Ohio, the son of Wellington E. and Thelma C. (Curie) Blalock
Survivors include two brothers, James (Sharon) Blalock, of Edgerton, and Grover (Carolyn) Blalock, of Hicksville, Ohio, and numerous nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Duane Blalock; and one sister, Vonita Fields.
Private family services will be held at a later date with interment in Forest Home Cemetery, Hicksville.
