William J. “Jay” Pigmon, age 55, of Edgerton, Ohio, passed away at 2:55 A.M. on Sunday, May 13, 2018, at Community Health and Wellness Centers in Bryan, Ohio, where he was a patient after a brief illness. Mr. Pigmon attended Edgerton High School and graduated from Northwest State Community College. A self-employed carpenter, he enjoyed building homes from the ground up. He also enjoyed working on motorcycles and anything electronic and building his train sets. Jay was a loving person who liked to make people laugh and was a big animal lover who was known to take in a stray.
William J. “Jay” Pigmon was born on May 28, 1962, in Hicksville, Ohio, the son of Dock and Laura (Powers) Pigmon II.
Survivors include his two sons, Wesley, of Defiance, Ohio, and Raymond, in Nebraska; a stepson, Josh Engle, of Bryan; his mother, Laura (Keith) Bowers, of Bryan; one brother, Dock (Joyce) Pigmon III, of Edgerton; two sisters, Elesa (Gary) Brenner, of Edgerton, and Lois Cuenca, of Bryan; and numerous nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his father, Dock Pigmon II; a daughter, Heather Michelle Pigmon; and a nephew, Billy Joel Pigmon.
Private family services and interment will be held with a memorial service to be held at a later date.
