Kenneth A. Huner, 70

Kenneth A. Huner, age 70, died Friday, May 25, 2018 in Toledo, Ohio. He is survived by his wife, Ann, sons, Keith (Vicki) of Streetsboro, Ohio and Mark (Ron) of Tucson, AZ; sisters, Coreen (Michael) Gelber and Cathleen Denti; brother, Kevin (Cate); beloved nephews, Greg (Leigh), Doug, Jon, Derek and Daniel; special nieces, Carrie and Elizabeth. Ken also leaves behind numerous cousins and a host of friends.

Ken was born November 13, 1947 to Raymond and Monica (Shaw) Huner. Graduated Wauseon High School Class of 1965 and attended BGSU. He married Ann Wyse on July 13, 1968. Ken honorably served his country in the Army with the 101st Airborne Division February 1969 to January 1972 including a year in Viet Nam.

His career in the food industry started on the production line at Beatrice Frozen Specialties in 1972 leaving there in 1991 as plant engineer. His career finished as a project manager for Dillin Automated Systems. Traveling was a big part of his retirement, with trips to Arizona, the Carolinas, Hawaii and all states in between. Although diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2014, he was able to fulfill a lifelong dream of attending the Edinburgh Scotland Military Tattoo in August 2017.

Ken will always be remembered for his quick wit and great sense of humor. He was the ultimate family man and master “Mr. Fix It”. “He was well loved and loved well…the only kind of success that really matters in the end”.

Friends may call 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 29, 2018, in Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home, 219 South Fulton Street, Wauseon, Ohio 43567. Friends may also call 12:00 Noon – 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 30, 2018, prior to the funeral service beginning at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Pastor Scott Estep will officiate. Interment will follow in Wauseon Union Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be: Jon Huner, Larry Huner, Lonny Huner, Lindsay Huner, Greg Fraker, Doug Fraker, Derek Denti, Daniel Denti. Graveside military honors will be accorded by Fulton County Honor Guard.
