Doris E. Hageman, age 85, of Bryan, Ohio, died at 1:12 P.M. on Saturday, June 2, 2018, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. Mrs. Hageman was a homemaker and had owned La Playgirl in Bryan, with her sister. Doris enjoyed crocheting, especially doll clothing, and making jewelry, but most enjoyed gardening and growing flowers.
Doris was born on September 26, 1932, in Bryan, Ohio, the daughter of Harvey and Addie (Wickersham) Ball. She married Lisle R. Hageman on November 6, 1954, in Bryan, Ohio, and he survives.
Doris is also survived by her children, Rachael (Marilyn) Booth, of Landaff, New Hampshire, Danny (Penny) Thompson, of Defiance and Deborah Smith, of Bryan; eight grandchildren; many great grandchildren; a brother, James Ball, of Pioneer and sister, Kathryn Teschke, of Bryan. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Timothy Hageman, grandson, Timothy Joseph Smith and eight brothers and sisters.
Services will be held on Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at 2:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, with Pastor Diane Schaffner officiating. Interment will follow in Evansport Cemetery. Visitation will be held in the Krill Funeral Home, Bryan, from 12:00 to 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, prior to the service.
