Mildred Jane Lockhart, 89

Mildred Jane Lockhart, age 89, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at Lutheran Life Village at Pine Valley in Fort Wayne, where she had been a resident. Mrs. Lockhart was a member of St. Michael Lutheran Church in Fort Wayne. She had been a manager of several Dry Cleaners and worked as a Realtor prior to her retirement.

Mildred was born June 15, 1929, in Queens, New York, the daughter of Leonard and Margaret (Moriarty) Parkes. Mildred married Timothy M. Lockhart on July 3, 1949 in Rosedale, New York, and he preceded her in death on March 26, 1963. Mildred is survived by her daughter, Kathleen (Jim) Barron, of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Kathie-Lyn Cussen and Karen (Antoine) Tartamella, both of Kingwood, Texas, Michael Cussen, of Houston, Texas, Jarred (Summer) Burns, of Indianapolis, Indiana, Timothy (Olivia) Burns, Brittany (Marcus) Outlaw and Erika Barron, all of Fort Wayne; eleven great grandchildren, Alexis, Megan, Francesco, Dylan, Isabelle, Jesse, Julianna, Christine, Liam, Grace and Jacob; sisters, Margaret Bordiuk and Alicia (Tony) Olmo, both of Davenport, New York and brother, John (Carol) Parkes, of Coral Gables, Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Linda Cussen and four siblings.

Funeral services for Mildred J, Lockhart will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 in St. Michael Lutheran Church, 2131 Getz Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46804 with Pastor Don Sandman officiating. Burial will follow at Marion National Cemetery, Marion, Indiana. Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, until the time of the service. Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, Ohio has been entrusted with the arrangements.
