A Chance To Remember And Say Thanks

It was the war to end all wars. Coming up in a few weeks is Armistice Day…or to most today, Veteran’s Day. It is the day World War I ended, back in 1918. The day also commemorates the 100th anniversary of Montpelier’s American Legion. Post 109 was started up by some of the Doughboys who came back home after the fight was over. Montpelier’s council took some time during their meeting this week to recognize Post 109 and to the efforts of all those American soldiers, so long ago…putting on their old kit bag and smiling off to war.
