Virginia M. Graves, age 88, of Edon, Ohio, died at 5:50 A.M. on Monday, October 22, 2018, at Genesis Healthcare-Bryan Center in Bryan, Ohio, where she was a resident, after a brief illness. Mrs. Graves was a homemaker, an avid Chicago Cubs fan and a member of the Edon Church of Christ. She enjoyed spending time with her family and attending her grandchildren’s sporting events.
Virginia was born on July 23, 1930, in Hardin County, Ohio, the daughter of Leonard and Edna (Schoffner) Lease, Sr. She married Loren A. Graves on August 26, 1956 in Kenton, Ohio and he preceded her in death in 1997.
Survivors include two sons, Clifford (Amy) Graves, of Edon, and Larry (Mary) Graves, of Mesa, Arizona; four grandchildren, Mike (Sara) Graves, of Cashmere, Washington, Vanessa (Jake) Johnston, of Covington, Washington, Nikki (Jeff) Smith, of Loveland, Ohio and Makayla Graves, of Cincinnati; six great-grandchildren, Owen, Sam, Ariel, Sebastian, Brody and Major; brother, Jim Lease and sister, Betty Cavin, both of Belle Center, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and four siblings.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 25, 2018, from 1:00-5:00 P.M. in the Edon Church of Christ, Edon, Ohio, followed by funeral service at 5:00 P.M. with Pastors Robert Szoke and David LaDuke officiating. Graveside services and interment will take place in Prospect Cemetery, Bruceton, Tennessee on Saturday, October 27, 2018. Arrangements have been entrusted to Krill Funeral Service, Edon.
