Joseph S. Zedaker, age 77, of Cincinnati, Ohio, died on Wednesday, October 24, 2018, in Cincinnati. A former resident of Defiance, Ohio, Mr. Zedaker had worked as a machinist at Dana Weatherhead in Antwerp, Ohio. Mr. Zedaker was a former member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Loyal Order of the Moose, both in Defiance. He was also an avid baseball fan.
Joseph S. Zedaker was born on March 22, 1941, in Defiance, Ohio, the son of Richard and Angela (Burkmeyer) Zedaker.
Survivors include two sons, Kenneth (Yvette) Zedaker, of Bryan, Ohio, and Robert (Tina) Zedaker, of Cincinnati; one daughter, Jodi Blasco, of Fort Wayne, Indiana; ten grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, Dick Zedaker, of New Bavaria, Ohio, and Dave Zedaker, of Defiance; four sisters, Vivian Mann, of Defiance, Mary Lou Lucek, of Kingman, Arizona, Terry King, of Oakwood, Ohio, and Sue Anne Antoine, of Paulding, Ohio. Preceding him in death were two brothers, Ed Zedaker and Elmer Zedaker, and two sisters, Esther Hill and Suzi Miler.
Services will be held on Friday, November 2, 2018, at 11:00 A.M. in First Presbyterian Church, Bryan, Ohio, with Pastor Barry Sweet officiating. Private interment will follow in Rochester Cemetery near Cecil, Ohio.
