Over in Williams County, the unemployment rate for December was 3.8 percent, up from 3.2 in November, and higher still than the 3.5 percent rate from October. 18,000 of Williams County’s 18,700 strong workforce were employed during the month of December. Defiance County’s unemployment rate for December was at 4.7 percent, up from 4.1 percent in November.
