Sharon Kay Miller Jackson, age 72, of rural Montpelier, Ohio, passed away at 8:30 A.M. on Saturday, May 4, 2019, in her home, surrounded by her loving family, after an extended illness. Ms. Jackson was employed as a machinist by Edon Machine, retiring with thirty-eight years of service and many great friendships. She was a loving mother and grandmother and a friend to many. She enjoyed doing crafts and spending time outside in the summer with family and friends. Her beloved dogs were everything to her, but she also was passionate for all animals and a longtime supporter of the ASPCA. Sharon will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Sharon Kay Miller Jackson was born on January 21, 1947, in Angola, Indiana, the daughter of Floyd K. and Mary E. (Kutz) Hamilton.
Survivors include two daughters, Sonya (Al) Jones, of Angola, and René (Jerry) Miller, of Edon, Ohio; two grandchildren, Jenny and Hollie Richter; five great-grandchildren; one brother, Robert Hamilton, in Alabama; and one sister, Betty Thomas, in Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Bill Hamilton, and twin brothers, Richard and Raymond Hamilton; half brothers, Archie and Patty Hamilton, and David Kutz; and a sister, Dee-Dee Reminicky.
In keeping with Sharon’s wishes private family grave side services and interment will take place at a later date in Columbia Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to the ASPCA or to Hospice of Williams County in Bryan.
