Larry R. Lawrence, age 66, of Bryan, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2019, in his home after a sudden illness. Mr. Lawrence was a 1972 graduate of Swanton High School and later received his degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Toledo. He was a veteran of the United States Army and retired from the Air National Guard, serving with the 180th Fighter Wing in Toledo, Ohio. He was a former pilot, was a member of Whitehouse American Legion Post #0384, and enjoyed sailing. Larry was also very artistic and enjoyed drawing and sketching.
Larry R. Lawrence was born on October 20, 1953, in Toledo, Ohio, the son of Walter and Betty (Bell) Lawrence.
Survivors include his mother, Betty Lawrence, of Swanton, Ohio; two sisters, Connie (Roy) Gillen, of Cleveland Heights, Ohio, and Janet Lawrence, of Swanton; one brother, Lee Lawrence, of Edon, Ohio; and his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 24, 2019, from 3:00-7:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edon, Ohio. A grave side service will be held in Wakeman Cemetery, Waterville, Ohio, on Friday, October 25, 2019, at 11:00 A.M. with grave side military rites conducted by Whitehouse American Legion Post #0384 and the United States Air Force Honor Guard.
