Rhea E. Kaser, 97, passed away Sunday morning at Fairlawn Haven Nursing Home in Archbold. For many years Rhea lived in the California and Utah area until 1991 when she returned to the Williams County are. For the past 5 years she resided at the Fairlawn Haven Retirement Community. She was born on September 22, 1922 in Alvordton to Harvey and Ida Bell (Turner) Esterline. Rhea was a member of the Montpelier Women of the Moose.
She is survived by her children Ronny (Juliene) Wise and Christine “Susie” Simmons all of West Unity; step daughters Sharon (Terry) Larsen and Janet Arcuri both of La Habra; California four grandchildren, five great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.
Rhea was preceded in death by her parents, first husband Max Wise in 1964, second husband Vernie C. Kaser in 2009, son Rodney Wise in 1969, granddaughter Traci Horton in 1984, three sisters, Velma Huffman, Wavel Gillette and Naomi Lutz and one brother Leland Esterline.
Visitation for Rhea will be on Thursday, February 27th from 11am-1pm at Fairlawn Haven Chapel in Archbold. Services will follow at 1pm at the chapel with Pastor Dale Kern to officiate. Interment will be at Floral Grove Cemetery in West Unity. Memorial contributions may be given to the Heartland Hospice or Fairlawn Haven Nursing Home Activity Fund.
