In a special meeting, the Pioneer Village Council declares an emergency and waives all utility fees through June in response to the coronavirus. Officials say village utilities, water, sewer and electric, have surpluses in their budget that will allow them to temporarily waive fees for water and sewer in April, May and June. Meanwhile, the village will extend a $100 credit for electricity, per month through that time, as well.
