David Lee Miley, age 75, of Bryan, Ohio, passed away at 9:30 P.M. on Thursday, March 26, 2020, at SKLD Healthcare Center in Bryan where he was a resident. David was a brakeman for the C & O and Norfolk & Southern railroads retiring with almost 20 years of service. He then worked in West Unity, Ohio and started and managed the Miley Insurance Agency in West Unity. David was an avid basketball fan and enjoyed following his grandchildren’s sporting events.
David was born on September 15, 1944, in Warsaw, Indiana, the son of Rev. Avery and Blanche (Clark) Miley. David is survived by his family who was his pride and joy including his son, Sean (Leandra) Miley, of Bryan, Ohio; his grandchildren, Deylen, Delaney, Shallyn and Colbrin Miley; brother, John (Janet) Miley, of Mt. Sterling, Illinois; nephew, Jim Miley and family and niece, Janis (Chris) Kassing and family. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic restrictions, there will be no visitation. Graveside services will be at Knox Chapel Cemetery, Fairmount, Indiana at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, April 1, 2020.
