Beverly J. Garvey, 83 years, of Bryan, passed away Saturday, November 2, 2013 at Evergreen Manor Nursing Home, Montpelier, Ohio. Beverly was born June 25,1930 in Bryan, the daughter of the late Virgil M. and Fanelda C. (Patten) Dauber. She was a 1948 graduate of Sturgis High School, Sturgis, Michigan. She married Jack A. Mizner on December 24, 1949 in Angola, Indiana and he preceded her in death on March 26, 1976. She was an Assistant Manager for McDonald’s in Bryan and also in Montpelier for 27 years, retiring in 2005. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church. Beverly enjoyed making various crafts and spending time with her family.
Surviving are her children, Clarann (Keith) Rhoads of Edgerton, Eric (Karen) Mizner of Ocala, Florida, Creig (Barbara) Mizner of Sturgis, Michigan, Gregory “Lynn” (Jill) Mizner of Daytona Beach, Florida and Tim (Ruthann) Mizner of Ocala, Florida; 14 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren; one sister-in-law, JaNean Houck of LaGrange, Indiana, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Mizner and one sister, Madonna G. Coy.
There will be no visitation and private services will be held for the family. Arrangements are under the care of Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 206 North Lynn Street, Bryan.
