Billie L. Wolfe, 91

Billie L. Wolfe, 91 years, of Bryan, passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at Community Health Professionals Inpatient Hospice Center, Defiance.  Billie was born May 14, 1929 in Kansas City, Kansas, the daughter of the late James and Bernice (Green) Langley.  She was a 1949 graduate of Edgerton High School.  Billie married Charles F. Wolfe on March 1, 1952 in Bryan, and he preceded her in death on November 11, 2018.  Billie was a bookkeeper for the former A.S. Minery Co. for many years.  She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church and the Northwest Neighborhood Association.  Billie enjoyed gardening, caring for her Hosta’s and other flowers.  She has crocheted over 100 afghans and enjoyed quilting.  She was known as an excellent seamstress.  Billie was a published poet. Having her work published in several books.  Billie and Charlie were known for walking all over the city of Bryan on their daily walks.

Surviving are her two daughters, Christine (Neil) Miller of Fairfax, Virginia and Barbara (Bob) Teegarden of Bryan; six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren; two half- brothers, Leslie Pierce of North Dakota, and Thomas Pierce of Butler, Indiana; three half-sisters, Patsy (Barton) Rowe of Melbern, Judy (Frank) Handy of Hicksville and Kay Price of Waterloo, Indiana.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles; one half-brother, Lee Pierce; one half-sister, Mary Lou Pierce.

There will be no visitation for Billie.  Graveside funeral services for Billie L. Wolfe will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. in Fountain Grove Cemetery with Rev. Peter Paige officiating.  Per Covid 19 restrictions, the family has requested that all individuals attending the graveside service MUST wear a mask, due to vulnerable family members.  If you have recently been ill, or not feeling well, please express your condolences by another method, such as text, telephone call, dropping a card in the mail or writing a condolence on the funeral home webpage.  Arrangements are under the care of Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home Greenisen Chapel, 225 East High Street, Bryan.
