John “Jack” C. Gilliland, age 61, of Bryan, Ohio, and formerly of Celina, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2013, at his residence. Mr. Gilliland graduated from Celina Senior High School and Heidelberg University with a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education. John taught in several school districts, including Hicksville and Fostoria.
John C. Gilliland was born on November 6, 1952, in Van Wert, Ohio, the son of John Richard and Wanda Rose (Stuckey) Gilliland. He is survived by his sisters, Susan Gilliland, of Celina, and Jean Gilliland, of New Breman. He was preceded in death by his parents.
In accordance with John’s wishes, there will be no visitation or services. Krill Funeral Service, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, is handling arrangements.
Memorial contributions in John’s name may be given to the Williams County Humane Society, 9464 County Road 13, Bryan, Ohio 43506.
