Leona Jean Moden, age 93, of Wauseon and formerly of Tedrow passed away early Tuesday December 3, 2013 at Heartland of Wauseon. Prior to her retirement she had worked at the Wauseon Wire Factory and at the former Fulton County Home.
Mrs. Moden was born on September 29, 1920 in Fulton County, the daughter of the late Robert and the late Alice (Kuhn) Stites. On November 14, 1939 she married Leonard Moden and he preceded her in death in 2002. She was a member of the Tedrow United Methodist Church, the Pettisville American Legion Auxiliary and the FISH program.
Surviving are daughters; Donna (Paul) Rohrs of Stryker, Laurel Girdham of Tedrow, Karen (Terry) Yeager of Delta, son; Conrad James (Karen) of Ottokee, Raymond Lloyd (Mary Jane) of Tedrow, Leonard, Jr. (Kim) of Miro Loma, CA, Philip (Becky) of Surprise, AZ., Roger (Linda) of Delta, Keith (Linda) of Cooperas Cove, TX., John (Jenny) of Tedrow and daughter-in-law, Cathy (Lonnie) Theil of Bryan. Also surviving are 38 grandchildren, 79 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great-grandchildren, son-in-law, Tom Yarbro and 6 brothers and sisters. Preceding her in death besides her parents and husband was son; David, daughter, Beverly Yarbro, granddaughters; Dreama and Lesa Girdham and six brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Saturday December 7, 2013 at the Tedrow United Methodist Church with Pastor Kevin Cochran officiating. Interment will follow in the Tedrow Cemetery. Friends may call at the Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home in Wauseon on Friday from 2:00-8:00pm.
